i've mentioned it a few times (but i'm trying to post where bonita is now, but unfortunately my brain won't allow me to not give a liiiittle bit of background info 😅)... but after trevor (bonita's baby father) perished, her new love interest, faiz, immediately flew from tartosa to san myshuno to console her.
🏢 incredible apt by the oh so talented @thegloomiestwhim. so many sims have lived here and we thank you, lol.
in my last post, bonita was starting her new job at smogue tartosa. she quickly relocated to the san myshuno office, and that is where we are now (now as in catch up, but not her current now lol).

Hero Vision Vol.37 (2010/Summer) ft. Kamen Rider OOO Cast Members Watanabe Shu & Miura Ryosuke Interviews (translations below)
Publication: September 7, 2010
Watanabe Shu (Eiji Hino)
"Playing the role of the main character Eiji Hino and Kamen Rider OOO in "Kamen Rider OOO," is Watanabe Shu-kun. He's always thought, "I've always wanted to become a Kamen Rider," and the passion he has for this production has only seemed to have intensified. Watanabe-kun has only just started to create the role, but what's the main appeal of OOO and Eiji? We present to you this hot interview."
-I'm going to become a Kamen Rider!-
Ever since my first year of elementary school, starting with "Kamen Rider Kuuga," I've watched all of the Heisei Kamen Rider series in real time. At first, seeing a Kamen Rider defeat a monster was just so cool, and I couldn't stop watching. Around the time of the third series, "Ryuki," and fourth series, "Faiz," I was able to better understand even the smallest of details, and I began to think, "I'm going to become a Kamen Rider!"
While I continued to think like this, the chance to audition for "Kamen Rider OOO" was presented to me. I was more determined than any of the other contestants to win the audition, and it's not an exaggeration to say that I was putting my life on the line. That's why when I was chosen, I was so happy that I burst into tears.
Out of all the Heisei Kamen Rider series, the one I like the most is Kamen Rider Faiz. When he transforms, this area (his face and the 5 sections of his body) beeps and lights up, and when he does a Rider Kick, there's a flash of red…..the transformation and battle scenes are really cool!
Not only Faiz, but I've been influenced by the previous works of my seniors in many ways. In particular, when the Producer told me that Eiji's character is similar to that of Ryuki's main character (Shinji Kido), I had a fresh new look on him.
However, I don't want to end up copying his character, rather, I want to make sure that Eiji's own character comes through. When I think, "The feeling of Eiji," it's…..that he doesn't sweat the small stuff, and that he doesn't care about looking cool. Still, he'll face anyone directly, and has a strong will to protect what he wants to protect at all costs. I think that Eiji's a very straightforward guy. I also think the fact that he carries around nothing but his underwear and some coins means that he doesn't worry about appearances. My personality is that I also don't sweat the small stuff (laughs), and I'm not shy, so I have many similarities with Eiji. I'd like to play the role of a reliable hero by incorporating the coolness of Eiji and OOO into my own personality.
-A carefully crafted transformation scene-
It's been about 3 weeks since filming began (this interview takes place in early July), but the scale of the show's production was beyond my imagination. From the number of people involved, the methods used for filming, and everything else was massive. I get really excited when I think about being in such a production. I'll never forget the excitement I felt when I filmed the transformation scene for the first time! In Kamen Rider W's film (Kamen Rider W Forever), there's a scene where OOO appears, and by saying, "Henshin!," I realized just how hard I'd been working to get here……and I almost started to cry without thinking.
OOO's transformation is so cool! There's lots of attention to detail, like with the 3 medals in the belt and the elaborate moves. The Action Director, (Tsuyoshi) Miyazaki, came up with the basics, and we worked together on the detailed hand movements and positions. I suggested that since my left hand was facing the camera, my palm should be facing towards it, and also thought up ways of saying, "Henshin!" It's an important scene throughout the show, and I want to create the image of Eiji and the hero that I envisioned, so I was very specific about it. In W's film, Eiji is supposed to have experienced transforming many times before, so I made sure he looked confident. But, the transformation in the first episode of our main story is Eiji's first transformation, so it gives off a fresh feeling. I hope you enjoy both!
On days where I was taught how to pose, I'd practice by myself at home until midnight. In my mind, I created the image of becoming OOO as if I were in CG (laughs). I can't wait to see it, as the end result will be even better than that. I definitely have to go to the preview screenings! (laughs).
Eiji's a guy who's on the move alot, so I'm looking forward to seeing more action scenes. We shot alot in episodes 1 and 2, with me being grabbed by the monsters, being thrown around, being blown up, and rolling around. I'm still abit awkward at it, but with the help of Director Miyazaki and Suit Actor (Seiji) Takaiwa-san, I hope that in the end, I'll be able to jump off a building.
Ah, I mean, I want to improve that badly, but whether I can really do it or not is another story! (laughs). My dream is to punch and kick the monsters untransformed, so I'd like to make that happen too. If I keep talking about it like this, it'll come true someday, right? (laughs).
-Teamwork is the best!-
Things are so much fun on set. Ankh's actor, (Miura) Ryosuke-kun, is currently 5 years older me, and Shintaro Goto's actor, (Asaya) Kimijima-kun is 3 years older, but once I started talking to them, we quickly became friends. Miura-kun is the person I interact with the most in my role, so we're often together on set, and we talk about things other than acting, like my favorite manga (laughs). You get to know Miura-kun as he performs during filming. When the cameras aren't rolling, we talk about different topics, and I'd to get to know Miura-kun better when we're not acting.
As for Kimijima-kun….I was already a fan (laughs). When I was in middle school, I saw Kimijima-kun as a model in a fashion magazine, and it made me happy. Both of them are like kind older brothers, so I think it'll be alot of fun for the 3 of us to be in the same dressing room together.
We're off to a good start, and I have a feeling that the teamwork on set will keep getting better. We'll create an interesting show together, so please look forward to it!
-Watanabe Shu's Body-
Head: I'm a super positive person, so I just get through everything with the attitude of, "Well, I'll just figure it out." Who do I take after…..maybe it's a mutation? (laughs).
Ear: I've been told that I have "Hell Ears," because I carefully listen and remember the various things people say (laughs). I don't have any piercings…..making a hole looks like it'd hurt.
Eyes: I used to play sports, so my eyesight is well developed. I can even dodge punches, which I think will help me with action scenes!
Nose: I'm sensitive to the smell of food, and can guess what kind of food it is without looking. By the way, I love the smell of meat. I'm like a cave man (laughs).
Hand: I like to draw, and got the highest scores in art. But, I was more involved with sports, so now I'm abit rusty. Women probably prefer slimmer fingers anyway (laughs).
Mouth: I'm not shy at all, so even if I just met someone, I'll talk to them as much as I can. In other words, I'm annoying (laughs).
Foot: I'm fast! I used to run short distance and hurdle races, but I'm especially good at 400 meters races, and once took 3rd place in a prefectural competition with a time of 51.24 seconds!
Mind: I don't get upset about things too much. Maybe it's because a girl called me "insensitive" when I was in elementary school. Now that I think about it, that word seems to carry a serious meaning (laughs).
OOO: The theme of OOO is "Desire," and my "Desire" was to become a Kamen Rider. I think it's because I kept that in mind that I was able to encounter this production. Now, OOO is "Desire" itself. _
Miura Ryosuke (Ankh)
"Playing the double role of Shingo Izumi, a detective, and Ankh, the monster who possesses him in "Kamen Rider OOO," is Miura Ryosuke-kun. With the aim of, "Playing a beloved monster," he seems to be exploring for new ways to express himself everyday."
-Aiming to become a beloved monster-
I met with the Producer and Director through an interview, where I was given the opportunity to be apart of this production. The day before the interview, I was so nervous because my mind was racing (bitter smile). But, in order for people to understand you, you have to enjoy yourself, so that's what I did, and from the beginning, everyone talked to me in such a friendly manner…..I immediately felt relaxed and at ease.
When I was chosen for the role of Ankh, I thought to myself, "I'm grateful." I've been an actor for about 9 years now, and I was afraid that I'd only be doing on the spot performances. But, I now feel that it's because of my previous experience that I was able to get a role that'll last as long as a year. That's why I'm "grateful."
After filming began, the separation of the roles for Shingo Izumi and Ankh become a major point for me. Director (Ryuta) Tasaki, who shot episodes 1 and 2, asked me to, "Make some differences," for my tone of voice, facial expressions, and movements. Looking at the script, it's obviously different. But, when I tried playing the role, it was very difficult. Shingo becomes possessed by Ankh in the first episode, so we don't know much about his personality. His younger sister (Hina Izumi, played by Riho Takada-chan) is worried about him, so we know he's a good older brother, but, I think he's actually more of a troublesome brother, which is why his sister is so strong (laugh). I'm looking forward to finding out what kind of person Shingo is through Hina.
I'm still struggling with Ankh. The only thing I've clearly decided on, is to make him a "beloved monster." This was also brought up by Director Tasaki. Ankh's ideas and actions are pretty mischievous. One example is in episode 2, when he ate some popsicles, saying the reason was he wanted to, "Get some nourishment" (laughs). I'm sure that if I play the role without hesitating, my character will be loved by everyone. I wonder if Ankh will become more like a human by being with Eiji, or if a monster will always stay a monster…..I can't wait to see how things turn out.
Before we started filming, we had 2 rehearsals, but for the first one, time went by and I wasn't really grasping anything……I was certain that everyone was worried and wondering, "Is this guy gonna be okay?" I was so frustrated, that I would watch anime that reminded me of Ankh, I just couldn't stop thinking about him. I began to think that there was more to him than just being a right hand, and that there was a "heart" to him. Then, at the second rehearsal, I was able to get into being Ankh. The Director actually told me, "You're overdoing it" (laughs), but, those words helped me to get rid of any doubts, and I began to understand the "balance" of being Ankh.
-Creating Ankh together-
I'd like to draw your attention to the craftsmanship of Ankh's arm. It's been finely crafted down to the smallest details, and is very beautiful. It made me wonder how great it'd be to design the whole body. I can't tell you what material it's made of, as it's a trade secret (laughs), but, it's so light that I no longer feel uncomfortable wearing it. The index and middle fingers are my own fingers sticking through, so I can make detailed movements.
I've learned alot from Eitoku-san (Suit Actor), who moves Ankh's arm. Even though only his arm is shown in the show, he uses his whole body to express himself to the fullest. Just when I was thinking that I didn't want to be outdone, I had a very happy experience. The scene in the first episode where Ankh possesses Shingo was expressed through my own arm…..When I performed the moment when Ankh enters his arm and takes over, the camera man called Eitoku-san over and said, "Eitoku, this is how the acting should be done." The person who was filming was able to understand my performance. It made me incredibly happy. It made me think, "I can really do it as Ankh!" Through Eitoku-san and Ankh, I'm learning the importance of expressing my thoughts and feelings from the tips of my fingers, toes, and head.
The Director, makeup artists, costume designers, lighting crew……all of their hard work has been positive, and has helped me with becoming Ankh. I'd like to express myself as much as I can so that you can see it in a better way.
As of now, many of the actors are younger than me, but in the past, I'm often the youngest on set. I'd like to view this from the perspective of an older brother…….I want to, but it's abit difficult (laughs). The teen cast members are all so strong, that they often end up helping me out.
I think that (Watanabe) Shu is "free" in a good way. He says things like, "I want to express it in this way," without hesitation. In this world, people tend to hold back by saying, "I can't do this," or, "I can only do this much," but Shu doesn't have such an attitude. That's why I feel good and at ease when we're together. His presence in my life has grown so much, that I feel like we've already been together for a year. The only thing I wish he'd stop talking about, is his favorite manga. Every day when he comes to the set, he asks me, "Miura-kun, have you read this one?" I'm not really into reading manga, so one of my favorite things to say right now is, "Will I last a year….?" (laughs).
I'm grateful for being on such a set where we can have such innocent conversations. I'd like to build a relationship with Shu and all the cast members, so that we can motivate and support each other even during the hardest shoots. I'd like to work with everyone to grow not only within the work, but myself over the next year.
-Miura Ryosuke's Body-
Head: I'm someone that wants to have "fun." I want to take things in a fun direction, and for people to think, "He's smart." I don't want to show my efforts behind the scenes.
Eyes: I may have a hard time looking at people and other things. But, the feeling of taking in everything is always there. Because by doing so, I'll encounter something that'll move my heart.
Mouth: I like talking, but I'm not good at it. I'm often asked, "What was that last part?," because I tend to get carried away and say things too quickly…..
Nose: Like laundry fresh out of the dryer, I like scents that give off a warm feeling (laughs). Sleeping on them is ideal. Floral fabric softeners are the best.
Mind: I've always been stubborn, and I'm very consistent when it comes to my way of thinking. In order for people to understand that, I have to be firm with myself first.
Foot: I'm not slow, but I don't think I'm fast either. I do like to exercise and dance, and I like to just move my body. I'd be happy if I can make use of that in my action scenes.
Ear: I have really good ears. Even when I'm talking to someone, I can hear the conversations of those next to me, and I'll get angry and say, "What'd you say?!" (laughs).
OOO: This is the "start" for me. I'm confident that what I learn here will remain with me for the rest of my life, so I want to make this an important first step for me.

Truthfully I've come out of this rewatch feeling a bit more interested in what the movie's doing and that I've got a bit more to chew on.
It completely brushed past me the first time, perhaps because I expected something absolutely incredulous from Inoue that would be as immediately divisive as his other works; and was rather surprised by something that everyone agreed was just kind of okay. An Inoue work should not just be okay and it should not be something people have an overall consensus on! It should be wild and insane and everyone should be killing each other over it! That's the fun of an Inoue production! I want violence and killing!
But setting those desires aside and taking the movie on its own terms, it feels like it's got a lot to say on... on tiredness, I suppose. As if it's taking that exchange between Takumi and Tsukasa; that line of "I know you're tired of it too", and expanding it into an entire narrative. Of what the point even is of a 20th anniversary project of a show about people living their lives and by the end learning to live for their dreams. Of the celebration and legacy of Faiz as a superhero show versus its actual identity of a soap opera under the guise of superhero identities, and the conflict between those two. As much as Smart Brain becoming a company that hunts down Orphnoch with its AI-assisted Riders draws very obvious social parallels and narratives, does it not also feel like the Kamen Rider aspects bursting into the lives of Mari and Kaido and the people they've met and demanding that it be the center of their lives again?
When Takumi spends years of his life after the end of Faiz devoting himself to Keitaro's dream and feeling genuine happiness and purpose of it in those last years of his, and goes out to die on his own terms; only for Smart Brain to bring him back to life as a brand new Faiz with a smartphone and all these cool abilities to fight Orphnochs once again -- how can I not start to read that as the future of his normal life and his getting to define his normal life being taken away from him by a galvanistic nostalgia of how cool he was as Faiz and how it'd be even cooler if he was still killing monsters with an even better modern tech suit?
How am I truly to take it that not a single enemy in this movie is an Orphnoch, despite so many new ones being introduced; how am I to take it that they are the heart of this movie and that the only deaths the final battle brings about are the new tech AI-assisted Kamen Riders, imitating in nostalgia the faces of those we once knew and demanding as agents of Smart Brain that Takumi take to the battlefield again?
Fuck it, movie's good

TW: flesh wound, blood, stitches
This a segment from one of my stories that I haven't posted anywhere yet. I might post more idk.
"You are stronger than you look" Faiz gave me a firm pat on the back.
I limped alongside him, sweating and bleeding. Faiz had a couple injuries of his own but nothing he couldn't handle. "I think my calf is fucked. I'm scared to even lift my pants and check" I chuckled nervously. My calf was numb for the most part.
It suddenly hit Faiz, "Wait, you were stabbed, weren't you. Fuck." He looked around before pointing to a bench. "I'll take a look. We shouldn't delay this."
"Oh" I exclaimed, looking around the streets illuminated only by streetlights. Not many people were out around this time. Not unless they wanted to get caught up in gang violence. "Fine."
"Let's see..." Faiz lifted my pants all the way up to my knee. He examined my flesh wound. His cold fingers avoided touching anything sensitive. "This isn't good but it isn't bad either. You're still walking so that's a good sign. But you're also bleeding so that's a bad sign." He spoke calmly.
I nodded along to his words. "I'll live...right?" A grim thought crossed my mind. Sweat started beading on my forehead and my body tensed up.
Faiz grinned and patted my good leg. "You'll be fine, tough guy." His calm demeanor brought some comfort to me. He really knew how to make it seem like things will be alright. He was warm, not physically. I mean his presence was warm. He wrapped his handkerchief around my leg. "I'll patch you up."
"Do you even know how to do that?" I inquired. I didn't want his situation to get worse. A doctor would've been the safer choice than a 14 yr old. "Oh, what-" I got too flustered to finish my sentence. Was he stripping?
Faiz lifted his own shirt, biting onto the end to hold it in place. He raised his arm and pointed towards a messy looking scar on his lats. "See this?" He said, proudly while still biting his shirt. "Got stabbed during a pretty messy situation. Johnny and Miguel were there too. I stitched myself afterwards. I did a good job too."
Hearing that only made me sad. "Why didn't they take you to a hospital?"
Faiz put his arm down, putting his shirt back in place with a disappointed look on his face. Maybe he was expecting me to affirm how rad it was for him to patch himself up like that. "We were laying low." He answered. "Do you have bandages and anti-bacterial cream at home? Better yet, where is your home?" Faiz helped me rise to his feet.
"Wringbird..." I answered nervously like a smartass.
"Funny. I know it's in this city, but where?" Faiz studied me for a minute. He bit down on a cigarette before lighting it. "Here" he offered. "You look like you could use one."
I gladly accepted it. Inhaling deeply. I felt guilty, the idea of someone inhaling my fumes made me upset.
Faiz crossed his arms, "You don't have to tell me shit if you don't want to, ****. Now I was being generous when I said it was not bad. Your bleeding hasn't stopped. I can patch you up if your place is downtown. If not, the nearest clinic is pretty far and neither of us have a vehicle right now."
I sighed, defeated, "Fine, just don't judge how I live. I haven't cleaned in...a few days."
"You're saying it like you haven't cleaned in a few weeks" joked Faiz, but the embarrassed look on my face suggested it might have been true.
"I won't judge, I've seen people live in sewers when the streets get too cold to sleep on. At least you have a home" He took the cigarette back from me. Eighty percent of it had already been smoked. He inhaled the poisonous smoke before exhaling. "Fuck..." He dropped it. "Shit went in my eyes."
I laughed, "you don't smoke much, do you?" He playfully punched Faiz's shoulder, who was rubbing his eyes to ease the discomfort. "Thank you."
Faiz looked at me with his messy Kohl lined eyes. Wet from irritation. This is what this boy would look like if he ever cried.
"This look suits you" I smiled, stepping on the cigarette which was still burning after Faiz dropped it. "I would've shown you my home sooner if you looked like this before" I flirted, immediately regretting it. "Sorry, that was a weird thing to say. I didn't mean it like I'd fuck you." Why did I say any of that??
"So you wouldn't fuck me? A shame, I'll try my luck elsewhere" Faiz's tone was hard to decipher.
I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. "What's that supposed to mean?" I hoped to God he wasn't joking. I dug him and sometimes I felt like he dug me too.
Faiz took a step closer, grabbing my arm. I gasped, looking around the empty streets once again. My heart raced out of my damn chest.
Faiz put my arm over his shoulders, behind his neck. His other arm went behind my back, holding onto my side.
I stared at Faiz endearingly. This was like something from a romantic film. Was he gonna kiss me?
"Why are you looking at me like that? Are you fucking horny right now??" Faiz looked like he would've burst out laughing.
"Oh..." I reassessed the situation. Faiz was helping me walk by supporting my body weight, to avoid pressure on the leg. "I thought we were having a moment." I replied, embarrassed.
Faiz scoffed, "At least take me out to dinner first you broke faggot.”
I sat in my underwear on the toilet seat. The bathroom was cramped and the lighting was unpleasant. It smelled utterly fucking rancid. I felt a deep shame looking at Faiz kneel on the floor in front of me. He was in his white vest which was now stained with red since he kept wiping his hands on it.
Faiz was being thorough while cleaning my wound with saline water, which from what I saw was just salt and water. It stung but I could take it without complaining. He didn't speak much. He was focused on this task and nothing could distract him. Not the smell, not even the claustrophobic room. I was glad.
"You good there, tough guy?" He finally let some words loose.
"Why do you keep calling me that?" I said in a low voice.
"Because for this next step to work I want you to be a tough guy" there was a grim seriousness in his voice. He was talking big before. Taking charge of the situation and shit. Now that he actually had to do this, he was scared. I could see it in his messy eyes. "I'll get you a drink before I..." He looked at the sewing kit.
"You're scaring me, man" I felt lightheaded. Maybe because of the anxiety I felt. Probably because of the blood loss. The bleeding had slowed down now, thanks to Faiz.
Faiz left the bathroom for 45 seconds. I heard the sound of my fridge opening and of bottles clattering. He slammed the fridge shut. I could tell he was very frustrated by that thud. Faiz came back, empty handed. He avoided looking me in the eyes. "You don't seem to have anything to drink. You'll have to be a tough guy now. You don't really have a choice." He gulped and licked his dry lips. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
I didn't say anything. It couldn't hurt that bad, right? Faiz is just exaggerating. He's stitched himself before. He seemed proud of it too. If he can handle it, so can little ol me, right?
Faiz grabbed my leg and eyed the wound.
"I love little pussy,
Her coat is so warm,
And if I don't hurt her,
She'll do me no harm..." Faiz spoke softly. What the fuck? Was he singing?
Before I could ask him what his deal was, I cried out in burning agony. I would've kicked Faiz's teeth in if he wasn't firmly gripping my leg. "Fuck!" Tears blurred my vision. The only shit my senses gave him were the smell of shit, the pain in his flesh and the sound of Faiz's voice.
"So I'll not pull her tail,
Nor drive her away,
But pussy and I,
Very gently will play..."
His voice had a serious edge to it while reciting whatever the fuck this was.
I almost laughed until another dose of pain struck me. I held my face in my hands, weeping. "Faiz, please-" please what? Please stop? I don't know. I want it to stop. I want it to be over. Faiz, please hurry up. Faiz, please stop. Faiz, please..
"She shall sit by my side
And I'll give her some food;
And pussy will love me
Because I am good..."
After every wave of agony, Faiz's words were there to distract me. He couldn't be sure if his efforts had an effect on me because I couldn't stop crying. I was crying and laughing, mostly. I must've looked like a nutjob.
“I'll pat pretty pussy,
And then she will purr;
And thus show her thanks
For my kindness to her…”
Faiz was quiet for a brief moment. "Can you man up" he gritted his teeth with frustration. A sentence that only made me cry harder. I can't man up. I don't even want to be a man. Whatever pretense of adulthood I had had left me. I let my instincts take over, crying and whimpering at the sharp pain. Faiz must've felt bad because he continued singing calmly to soothe me again.
"I'll not pinch her ears,
Nor tread on her paw,
Lest I should provoke her
To use her sharp claw.
I never will vex her
Nor make her displeased:
For pussy can't bear
To be worried and teased…
There, ****, you're all patched up."
"Why were you singing about pretty pussies?" I cried. "What the fuck even is that?"
Faiz bandaged up my leg and patted me on the shoulder. "It's a nursery rhyme. I started singing the first thing that came to my mind. Let's get you to bed, tough guy."
"Stop calling me that." I looked at him with my sad wet eyes. Faiz scratched his head, he must have been confused cuz to him he was complimenting me.
"Alright, I see how it is…” did he, now? “You're humble. It's a good quality to have. That and loyalty. Anyways, your place is a shithole" Faiz finally acknowledged his surroundings.
"Yeah, the landlord's not gonna be happy" the shame was eating me up from the inside. Bleeding out didn't seem so bad all of a sudden.
"You can leave now" I suggested. I wouldn't want him in this shithole. “I'll see you later. Thanks for everything.”
Faiz shook his head, "I'll monitor your injury for the night. Think of me as your nurse. Nurse Zaffar does have a nice right to it, doesn't it?"
I smiled and shook my head, "Do they teach you to tell stories about animal trafficking in nursing school?"
"They do. Now let's get your ass to bed, ****." The bedroom was small with no windows. Clothes, plastic bags, bottles and rotting half eaten food items lay on the floor. How could a human being live like this? It didn't take long before I fell asleep despite the pain in my leg. I heard sounds of crinkling, clattering and even rattling but nothing could disturb my sleep. The thought of someone watching over me like a mother brought me comfort.
I must have slept for what felt like days but was realistically 14 hours. I sat upright and wiped my eyes. The bandages on my leg were dirty from the medicine and blood but not enough to need changing. I looked around the room. There was a striking lack of shit lying on the floor. It had been so long that I had forgotten what the floor looked like. Instead of trash, a light brown skinned boy in a jacket and no shirt was lying on the floor. Earphones in his ear, reading one of my magazines. He must have gotten rid of his bloody vest. He was shaking his leg to what I assumed was music. "Do you like hot bitches?" He asked.
"No" I muttered, still processing my surroundings. Weird thing to ask right after I woke up.
"Hmm, for a queer, you sure have a lot of these magazines." Faiz put down the magazine and removed his earphones.
"You cleaned my house?" I was finally done processing the situation. "Why?"
"I couldn't stand looking at this sorry ass place in that condition" shrugged Faiz. I felt shame creep up on me again. "Now, I'm not judging. I'm just saying, you couldn't do it, so I did. I was getting bored anyway. Being a nurse is fucking boring. I quit." He grabbed his non-existent nurse hat and threw it on the floor.
"Thank you." I felt like I was gonna start crying again but I blinked away the tears. I gave Faiz a grateful smile.
Faiz blushed and crossed his arms, "You owe me."
"I can suck you off, would that make us even?" I suggested. I wasn't even saying it as a joke anymore. "Or are you more interested in a pretty pussy"
Faiz smirked and took a few steps closer, pinching both my cheeks. "We'll see.” his hands were cold and it stung. I smacked his hands away. He laughed.
Seeing him smile down on me like that made me feel tiny. He was already bigger than me, not just in his height but also his assertive personality. “Sorry about the…” I hesitated and averted my eyes. “The whole crying and whimpering business last night. I know that was weird for you. Please don't go around telling everybody that **** cries like a girl.” I chuckled nervously.
Faiz scratched his chin, thinking. Thinking hard, with a constipated look on his face. He suddenly shrugged, let his face muscles rest and sat down next to me on the bed, "You did better than I did. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed. I mean I wasn't as much of an emotional mess as you but I almost passed out twice from the pain and then I did actually pass out after I was done with the stitches. I couldn't actually do my own bandages. Someone else did them. Might have been Miggy, y'know. Or Johnny, but he's kind of a dick so I doubt it." He looked ashamed at the thought of someone wrapping bandages around his torso, while he's lying in a pool of his own blood and tears.
I patted him on the shoulder but that didn't seem like enough to me. I hugged him and he immediately pushed me away. “Quit it, you homo” he muttered and stood up.
I fucked up. “Sorry. I was tryna comfort you.” He looked confused but didn't vocalize any thoughts.
He looked at my leg, “I've asked Jaden to bring you some painkillers and medical supplies. Anything else you want? He's already running errands for Johnny, I don't think that kid would mind doing some extra work.” Jordan was only a year younger than him, calling him a kid just made Faiz look like a dick.
“I'm starving” I realized I went to bed on an empty stomach.
Faiz looked horrified, “Fuck, right. I'll ask him to grab you a hot meal. Anything specific you want, ****?” There was guilt in his voice. The possibility of me being hungry didn't cross his mind until I mentioned it.
“You're a terrible nurse” I mocked. “I'm not a picky eater, I'll eat anything as long as it's got some flavor.” Faiz noted down my request on his wrist with a blue pen. “and I wouldn't mind some orange juice.” I licked my lips just imagining the sweet sour taste. Just the thought was enough to warm me.
“Orange juice…” repeated Faiz. “Got it. I know a place that serves freshly squeezed orange juice, better than that factory packed shit. It's a little far but Jaden could use the exercise, besides I'm paying him back. It's only fair to do so.” He grinned. The smile immediately faded after a loud rumbling came from his stomach.
He said, smacking his lips, “Birria tacos and orange juice doesn't sound too bad right now.”

Started up Kamen Rider X today and just one episode in i have enough things to say for a whole series of posts
For now though i want to focus on what i found so unique about X as a Rider in his first outing.

The first thing to note is the Ridol belt. I love it. Despite being one of the oldest it could totally fit in with the early heisei belts if touched up a bit.

Easily the most unique thing about X is that his transformation has steps unrelated to the henshin item. The belt gives him body armor, but he has to put the helmet and mouth plate on separately. We've never really gotten this concept since, only getting close to that in Faiz with the riders carrying all their other gear alongside the belt and using it to perform basic attacks and the finisher
X also introduced the idea of the belt being a storage unit for a weapon. This was later continued in Amazon with the Condorer, which had a hidden knife in it you could pull out. Pretty unique how they experimented with this idea for 2 seasons in a row. These days we would never see two similar belt gimmicks back to back
Ill definitely be making more posts about X because there is a LOT of elements in it that are worthy of discussion. The more i get into the Showa era of Rider the more i appreciate how much each season tried to experiment and innovative, something we rarely see nowadays, with Zeztz being the first in a longlong time to do something wildly new according to the rumors.
Watching Showa gives a really cool retrospective look at how the franchise evolved. Its pretty crazy how from Ichigo to Gaim you can perfectly track how Rider became what it is today, and im sure X will have more examples of this as it goes on

Life update: accidentally landed myself in some kind of a Toshiki Inoue Drama situation, but I'm not sure where on the scale of Faiz to Donbrothers it lands. So instead, I'm gonna vague-post about it and then we can vote on it together like some kinda AITA post (but with Inoue shows instead. You'll see what I mean, hold on)
So!
(gestures next to me) this is Desk. Desk has been with sitting in my room for over 15 years, and is very reliable, helping me through various situations. Fun fact: it is a gift from an old family friend that passed away a few years ago. Other fun fact: it's the kind with the piece of wood that slides out for a keyboard, and the sliding parts are still perfectly intact (to be fair, I adjusted it near the start of the pandemic, so it's even better than new).
Anyway, when I had to rent a place this year for university reasons, my parents ended up getting me... a second desk. I insisted against this, but they insisted for it (our reasons will be obvious in a bit).
See, the place for rent is a small place. It doesn't fit a desk. I did the measurements before moving in and everything. (So already this is a source of stress rather than making my life easier.) So I've been keeping the desk in one of the emptier rooms for a while until some of the other tenants move in and out (lots of rearranging going on).
Mom and Dad kept insisting that maybe there was a chance that the desk would fit in once things settled down at the place (not in my room). Then Mom started saying stuff like "wouldn't it be nice to replace your desk at home? I mean, this one has drawers!" (Again, I don't want to. Desk 1 may be a bit worn-out here and there, but I like it and it does the job more than well enough.)
So I bring this up offhand at the place I'm staying. One of the other tenants brings up that they're looking for a desk. I figure that I may as well avoid the hassle of lifting Desk 2 into a vehicle and taking it back home, so I ask my parents and the landlady about it. Dad is chill with it. Mom isn't. Landlady says she'll move Desk 2 to the garage once all the tenants move in, and I can do what I want with it.
I go back home without the desk. Dad and I figure that Mom wouldn't mind. Sure enough, she hasn't brought it up (she's just happy I'm here for the weekend).
Now here's where things get complicated.
Before moving Desk 2 to the garage, it was in a room meant to rent out (the room I currently rent didn't have space for it, but a couple other rooms did. I was staying in one of those rooms before all the Rearranging).
(2030 why the heck did you move rooms?! Listen it's a complex situation and I'm trying to go with the flow. It's difficult and I have other things to worry about)
So. The turns out that, before moving the desk, the new tenant moving into that room (not the previous one, who was in the building before I got there) saw it and was like "oh neat."
And then the landlady was like "oh that's for someone else, but they're trying to figure out how to get rid of it."
And then this tenant was like "can I have it?"
So I get a text from the landlady being like "kid why didn't you take back the desk?"
And I was like "what?"
And then she explained this whole Dilemma I just explained right here. And then she brings up the following:
I can't physically give it to both of them
If I pick one then the other person will get upset, and the last thing the landlady or I want is a feud between tenants
If I really wanna get rid of it, I should probably state a price. On the one hand, maybe only one of them will be able to buy it, avoiding a feud. On the other hand, if I give it for free, the other person is gonna feel really upset.
However, according to her, it's just easier to take it back
Now you might be wondering "well 2030, why did you get this other desk in the first place?". And again I say: I didn't want it! I repeatedly said I didn't need it and couldn't bring it!
And finally, the cherry on top: the desk doesn't even come with a chair. We did get a chair, but I promised my brother to give him the chair long before any of the other tenants knew about the desk.
With that all being said:

kamen rider #4!!!

LAST TIME: the kamen riders recieved a second "evil timeline where shocker won" nickel, but just when they thought the timeline was back to normal, kamen rider mach is still dead!!! shocker has one last gambit and thus we must go to the secret third layer of kamen rider spinoffs,,,, D-VIDEO SPECIAL: KAMEN RIDER #4!!!
ninninger were not invited
faiz and zeronos were though!!!
imagine being a kid who didn't get to see this and was just confused that mach died even though he's clearly alive and well on TV
except,,,, gou is also alive here,,,,,,,,
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mysterious
c'mon shinnosuke, it's shocker time!!!
oh looks like gen's on a normal one again
"...i dont have a catchphrase" -kamen rider faiz, probaby
same shinnosuke, that's how i am when remembering the taisen movies
"what a showoff, is he always like that" says the guy who starts every battle by announcing how strong he is
damn never seen a monster use their death explosion offensively before
gou deaths: 2
OH FUCK YEAH IT'S A TIME LOOP STORY
a death-loop story, even, not to be that kind of gal but i do get some jojo's killer queen bites the dust vibes, that or this is a rather mean videogame
oooooh he knows them this time,,,,
oh hey hiruchameleon, extra reinforcements this loop i see
"that's just how my face is"
gou deaths: 3
what a time to bring up the deja vu again
beating the timeloop by being early for the timeloop
oh hello my other original kaijin arimammoth, fancy seeing you in this loop
oh AWESOME, just when you think you've figured out how this works, it keeps you guessing
shinnosuke deaths: 1
WAS THAT KAIDO FROM 555??????
a goddamn plane appears
the great leader has a fashionable coat today
soon, it will be #4 time...
damn that was actually a really good opening
nightmare where im rewatching super hero taisen gp (it wasn't really that bad, just uninspired)
lowercase 'dead'
but what if we tried fighting our way out of the time loop
it's time travel train time once more!!!!
man it's been so long since ive been able to enjoy a post-series den-o thing, ive missed this :)
it IS kaido
hi kaido!!!! never thought id be happy to see you!!! (i am, unfortunately, not a 555 fan)
zeronos has found a dangerous vortex of temporal fart gas!!! now he is trapped in the sepia world!!!
this is the kind of shit they get up to in doctor who expanded media, i mean that as a compliment
oh fuck!!! he's an army ant!!!
feelings loop
"nice shot! :D ...i remember. D:"
he's readying a spirit bomb!!!
gou deaths: 4
kiriko-activated device
wuh-oh, this kamen rider #4 special has an evil kamen rider #4 in it!!!!
maybe we can think our way out of the loop!!!
unfortunately kamen rider the terminator is here and he has a plane
damn this guy's really cool actually, the kids who actually got to see this far must've loved this guy
kind of a skyclone if you will
yuuto deaths: 1
shinnosuke deaths: 2
welp, round we go again!!!!!!
shinnosuke deaths: 3+
gou deaths: 3+
takumi deaths: 1+
yuuto deaths: 2+
shocker has taken over the world AGAIN!!! and baron is there???? among others but like,,, BARON IS THERE????
does sasword count as a dark rider?
things have got so bad that kaido is the voice of reason
it's time for the final(?) confrontation!!!
kiriko somehow got herself captured again, gou is also there for variety
oh no
kiriko deaths: 1
and just when you thought you knew how it worked,,, PSYCH!!!!!
takumi is so cut up about not being there for kusaka's death that he did it!!!
takumi inui, the one guy in kamen rider with a more confusing alive/dead status than joji yuki
"wait a moment! what the hell man?!"
let's give faiz an actual ending!!!!
booster tridoron is back, big day for booster tridoron fans
it's now somehow unfitting that the arch orphnoch isn't inexplicably here
KAIDO SHOWDOWN
absolutely unheard of vehicle combinations are happening out here, it's actually kinda sick :D
you heard it here first, kamen riders accelerate until they explode
kamen rider #4 deaths: 1
damn, you're telling me one of these specials has themes?????
kaido deaths: 1
THE GREAT LEADER OF TAKUMI INUI??????
faiz motorbicycle
he's made from bats
in true great leader fashion, he's down in one hit
great leader deaths: 1 (but technically like,,,, 9??? at this point???)
takumi inui deaths: ...who?
yeah that's right, takumi has been dead since before this special even started, and only kaido remembers any different
pretty ballsy move tbh, and one we're just gonna have to not think about whenever anymore big crossovers and anniversary projects come up,,,,
so that's the end of our journey through the spin-offs, for now, and we ended with one that was way better than it really had any right to be, which is fucking awesome when they do that :D

I finished Star Ocean: The Last Hope!
May 11, 2025

I finished Star Ocean: The Last Hope yesterday and I LOVED it. What a great game! It's not entirely perfect, but it is pretty darn close. My only cons with the game are the handful of pervy moments and that you can't pause the cutscenes. Yup, that's it.
Game: Star Ocean: The Last Hope (Star Ocean 4) First Time/Replaying: First Time Game Time: 60 hours Console: PS4 Started: March 21, 2025 Finished: May 10, 2025
I was a bit traumatized by the final boss of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, so during this playthrough I made sure to level as much as possible. I chose Galaxy Level which is standard/normal difficulty. I told myself I would be better prepared for this Star Ocean adventure and thankfully my efforts paid off because I beat the final boss without any problems!
Here are my endgame stats:

In my last update, we had just left Roak and were heading back to Aeos. The hardest boss fight in the entire game happened here. It was the back-to-back Phantom fight. I DESPISED THIS BATTLE! I could not beat them but after leveling up for a few days and re-arranging my team, I finally got past them. The key was to switch Lymle out for Reimi. I had Lymle and Sarah in my team because I thought 2 healers was a good idea, but it wasn't. Reimi is incredible at blocking attacks and that's what helped me beat these annoying dudes.
After that fight, I feel like it was just smooth sailing until the end. Myuria got some info about her husband, we met up with Crowe, and Faize left us to help his Eldarian brethren. At first I thought Myuria was going to leave with Crowe but nope, we get Arumat in exchange for Faize.
En II was really cool. I like the shopping center with all the items and weapons easily available. I had so much money so I bought max quantity of everything I needed.
There was a scene where we meet the moon commander Kenny and he tells us they have to disband the SRF system (or whatever) but Edge refuses. And then at the end of the game, we see Kenny again debuting the later-famous UP3 that Fayt was so obsessed about in Star Ocean Till the End of Time (I admit, I laughed).
I actually laughed a lot in this game. The "skits" or "private actions" as they're officially called were really funny. Sarah and Meracle added so much humor to the story and I loved them so much.
As for the ending, all I can say is the end boss was a great choice and I loved how self-aware he was. I cried seeing Sarah almost-fly just to protect one of her friends and I cried when Reimi was losing her shit after Edge was taking too long to catch up. I cried when the camera pans out and we see them together. I got an ending for Meracle, Bacchus, Sarah, and Reimi... they were all great. I wonder if the other characters have endings too, I need to watch them!
I think I'd love to repay this game one day. I had a great time with it.

So we're waiting a little bit before we start Gotchard, but I am weak for trading cards and I found a good price on ebay so...

We made a family moment of it, the three of us

And 20 packs later, here's all the "standard" cards (meaning ones used in the show, as I understand it) that are Ultra Rare or higher:

Note that the middle two are the same card, the top one is the highest rarity, Parallel, which has unique art. And lastly, the main event, the Legend Rider cards:

All killer! We'll probably get at least one more box to try and pull a Wizard and an Agito (wouldn't say no to Faiz or Build, either). And hey, there are the ultimate rarity Legend Parallels, but that's just getting greedy.

Hero Vision Vol.15 (2004/Summer) ft. Kamen Rider Blade Cast Interviews Hironari Amano x Yoshifumi Oshikawa (Suit Actor) (translation below)
Publication: August 20, 2004 (between episodes 29-30) Hironari Amano (Sakuya Tachibana) x Yoshifumi Oshikawa (Garren Suit Actor)
"When did you two first meet?"
Oshikawa: It was before we started filming. We went to JAC's (Japan Action Club) training field and practiced our moves with Pilot Director Ishida-san and Action Director Miyazaki-san. At that time, Miyazaki-san said, "Try doing things with your own personality," and Amano-kun did exactly that, becoming Sakuya Tachibana. I was so impressed, that I wondered if he had already practiced for the role.
Amano: My first impression of Oshikawa-san was that he looked like a nice person. I had heard that those who train at JAC are really intimidating. And yet, it seemed like it was full of nothing but nice people. Even half a year later, I still think he's very nice.
"What were your first impressions of Garren?"
Oshikawa: When I was working on Faiz last year, I received three sheets of illustrations for Blade, Garren, and Chalice, as they would be next year's Riders. Out of all of them, the one I had my eye on the most was Garren. But, at first they said I would play Chalice, and that Garren would be played by Ito-san. However, as the start of filming approached, I was told, "It looks like they want you to become Garren." I said, "Ah, Is that so? (happy). Well, I've got alot to think about" Since then, I've been really enjoying it. For the first time, compared to Takaiwa-san (Blade's suit actor), I play the role of his much stronger senior. Playing the role of a senior, I struggled alot with the idea of hitting Takaiwa-san in the face, calling him an "Idiot," and other things like that. So, when it came time to do it for real, I was too scared to touch him (laughs).
"Amano-san seems better in that regard."
Amano: That's true. I am the oldest. That's why I don't really struggle when it comes to playing the part in that respect. The other day, we were both being criticized by Tsubaki-kun, right? (laughs). We both had to sit next to each other.
Oshikawa: Tsubaki-kun started to lecture me.
Amano: He said, "Garren, you're really holding me back here" (laughs).
Oshikawa: He told me, "All you do is get in the way of the battle!" (laughs). He then said, "It's annoying" (laughs).
Amano: He's the annoying one (laughs). But, we can't really argue with the guys on Blade's team, can we? It's hard to fight back against them (laughs). Even though Garren's team is in a better position to attack.
"Do you reference anything when thinking about Garren's movements?"
Oshikawa: I tend to go to Ikebukuro when I have time off. Right in front of one of the Matsukiyo's (drugstore) in Ikebukuro, there's a crosswalk, with some space inbetween the roads. I'll just sit there and watch as people go by. There are all kinds of people, so I'll look for the details of how they walk and turn around, and sometimes, if I think it's a good movement, I'll try doing it next performance. It's all just normal behavior, but sometimes they do things that are out of the ordinary. Overall, it's really interesting to watch.
"Is there anything interesting about Amano-san's actions?"
Oshikawa: Amano-kun has the tendency to keep his eyes on his opponents once he faces them, so when confronting the enemy, he doesn't take his eyes off of them, almost as if he's threatening them with just his eyes.
Amano: It was brought up to me by Director Ishida. Up until now, I've often performed with my eyes looking down. My performance with Sayoko-san was good, but after that, whether I was being persuasive or frustrated by betrayal, I would keep my eyes down. I was told it made me look weak. Actually, when I watched myself in the aired episodes, I did look weak. So, when expressing my feelings, I try to perform in a way that I can't move my eyes away. When we're told to get ready to perform, we get ready and switch into our roles, but Oshikawa-san, he changes the moment he puts the mask on.
Oshikawa: My mood changes. It doesn't matter what height I'm reaching for, I feel like I can do anything. It's like there's nothing I can't do…..
"When wearing the mask, are there ever any personal annoyances, such as sweat getting in your eyes?"
Oshikawa: It doesn't matter once you put the mask on.
Amano: Is that so. Isn't it itchy? Ah, or maybe something else gets in your eyes?
Oshikawa: Never. It's because I'm totally focused. When I'm putting on my mask, I feel like I'm sweating profusely and burning up, but when I'm actually wearing it, I don't feel that way.
Amano: But, the photo of him trying to drink with his mask on looks like a joke (laughs). They actually took a photo of that.
Oshikawa: When?! Of Me? Ah, but, today I was told that when you're wearing a mask and your throat is bothering you, to just hold your mouth over the top of the mask and cough.
Amano: That! That's what Oshikawa-san did! (laughs). I thought it didn't make any sense.
Oshikawa: I don't remember doing that at all, I was only told that for the first time today (honest).
"What scene are you most proud of?"
Oshikawa: It still wasn't a satisfying outcome, but it was when I was about to seal the Peacock (Undead) at the sandy beach. I had the sealing card and was wondering whether to throw it or simply drop it, as a test, I dropped it. I asked the director and he said I could keep my test, so I dropped it again for the real take. But, I wondered how it would look on air to drop it, as I've only been throwing them to seal them off.
Amano: I though it was great. As a normal hero, you'd think, "(For your lovers sake) Finish him off!" But Tachibana isn't that type of hero. It made me very happy to know that Oshikawa-san dropped the card with such consideration.
Oshikawa: Ah, is that so? I'm glad~ (laughs). Until I saw the aired episode, I wondered if that was the right thing to do.

Oh man. So.
I fully admit I had been intentionally avoiding this show since we first heard about the writer. At the time I was not happy that they were getting back a certain very prolific writer from the 2000s, both because I felt actual full new Toku shows should be handled by new blood primarily (like how the lead actors themselves get a start with it), and because I was very very worried about this particular writer and following along with him for a year. Especially with recent projects how weird would he be about women and maybe even gay people and how much harder would that be to take in 2022 compared to watching a show from 2003; even compared to recent missteps like Sabela and Izu?
But things have changed. By the time it was too late for me to dive in and catch up I had fully learned that I had no more to fear from this show than anything else recent - perhaps, in fact, I had much less to fear than normal - and, hell, I am so fully submerged in the need for Inoue’s unique brand of madness now. I... LOVE what he brings to the table (except when I hate it) and everything I’ve heard about this seems right up my alley. I straight up NEED to watch this.
I need heated drama. It is Faiz’s 20th anniversary. I am watching Leo, I am watching Zubat, and now to fully cap off this trilogy of extremely normal shows; it’s time to stop putting it off and fucking watch Avataro Sentai Donbrothers

Thornton Legacy
Generation 1 super update - part one
I started playing this legacy recently, with the founder prompted by my friend. I decided I want to blog the legacy, but instead of starting over, I am just going to do a couple of longish Gen1 superposts. I didn't really take any gameplay photos so you're just gonna have to take my word for it on the shenanigans.
Amber Thornton, Founder
My friend's prompt for Amber was just a girl who lives in a trailer park and keeps getting pregnant, so that's where we started, lol
Traits: Loves the Outdoors, High Maintenance, Cringe Career: Culinary
I built a little trailer park in Newcrest for Amber to live in. (Sorry for the build mode outline around the lot, I am lazy.)
Amber met her neighbor, Faiz Jaleel, and they hit it off right away and started dating. She got pregnant pretty quickly, but while pregnant she rolled the want to break up with Faiz, so they broke up.
Amber had her first baby, Ronnie, with Faiz, shortly after the breakup. (This is Ronnie as an adult, obvs.)
Amber's next love interest was Joaquin Le Chien. They actually got married before Amber got pregnant. Amber got a mysterious phone call that she would receive an inheritance if she got married within 7 days. She inherited $100k! While she was pregnant, he cheated on her with Izzy Fabulous, so they divorced. Joaquin took half the money.
Amber gave birth to Desirae shortly after the divorce.
Part two coming shortly!

Started watching Faiz basically completely blind because I liked the suit's helmet design, which is a fun experience.
I love Mari (I think that's her name - I do enjoy that they don't repeat character names constantly for once, so we've heard her name once in three episodes). Can you imagine if they'd actually gone there and let her be Kamen Rider Faiz.
Tired man stuck with a plucky girl is just such a good dynamic. I like that they're taking their time with it and the only Kamen Ridering happening is the mandatory fight scene each episode and the rest is just Takumi really wanting to get away.
It's also very funny to watch right after OOO because we have the underwear thing (Takumi and Eiji should have an underwear swapping party), we have Takumi not having any dreams and wandering around, and we have Mari being a shitty version of the medal-throwing thing by having to install the belt and telling Takumi which button to press. It's all very good.
